This renovation of Granville Island Brewery included a full seismic upgrade and enhanced fire separation for the heritage building. Key improvements featured a new Norbec cooler, rebuilt tasting room, retail space, six washrooms, and a Class 2 kitchen with upgraded systems. The bar was fully modernized with a new draft system, custom lighting, and millwork seating for 150. Exterior upgrades included a new patio deck for 100 guests. Despite CMHC construction restrictions and city approval delays, the project was completed in August 2024, improving safety, functionality, and guest experience while preserving the building’s historic character.
